SLEIGH BELLS RING

Those that escape from the theater all seem to come out through the same doors. When they get there, they can see that the theater isn't actually a building. There's only a free-standing set of theater doors on the playground. At the rear side of them is a brick wall.

Those that exit will find they can't re-enter.

None of the humans have seemed to notice the door or them, even those driving by.

Not everyone escapes at the same time. It comes in fits and starts, them filtering of the theater. Some can walk out mostly unharmed, some limp out, some come out supporting each other.

What they find outside is... uncanny. There in the playground is a massive sleigh, but one that looks not-exactly-traditional, with equipment and boosters that look almost like a mix of technology and something magical.

It's been expanded into many carriages, almost like a roller coaster. Harnessed to it are eight massive reindeer, champing slightly at their bits. It appears the people that attacked and created the theater are at least long gone. That means that as people slowly filter out they can check up on each other, provide first aid, and reassure each other.

❅ Status effects: Any injuries or damage that happens to a character will stick when they leave the Multiplex. That means that someone that gets facehugged by a facehugger will have an alien larva problem that may be causing some serious indigestion soon. Anyone that gets Borg-nanited through the neck will start having the nanites take over them. However the myth healing will slow these processes down until they can get to the Pole, and there are magical means at the Pole to help the characters survive this.

❅ First Aid/Other Supplies: The sleigh will have magically anticipated their needs. While it won't have the antivenom for Kaa because only a magical plant that grows at the Pole can cure the bites, it will have plenty of well-stocked general first aid kits. Applying first aid can help the myth healing heal someone more quickly and is important for injured characters that opted out of the myth healing.

❅ Timing: People can bendytime the timing of when their characters have escaped to play in this and "Let's All Go To The Movies" at the same time. People can also intro here late if they need to wrap some things up in the other post first.

❅ Intro: Players can use this post to intro instead if that's their preference. You can just assume your characters had to run from scary things in the theater and either handwave their circumstances, or assume your character found a way out more quickly than others.

[Changechildren are considered obscene by nature across much of Velgarth. Nyara... decides not to tell him that, and Need doesn't countermand her. If Miguel wonders why she was so hesitant - well, he can wonder.

She seems cautiously hopeful about his nonchalance about it.]

[Staring at the symbol. Huh, yes, legs... honestly, she would've thought he was partially some kind of bird, maybe also a reptile, if she wasn't told. She hasn't seen the fangs.]

Elle pretends not to see his look.

She hisses in sympathy when she sees his injuries. Those don't look pleasant.

"Alright, can you lift your shirt? And your pant leg? I need to see what we should deal with first," she sets down the disinfectant wipes and goes looking for a pair of sterile gloves, ibuprofen, a cold pack, and burn cream-- then stands up and rifles around the sleigh for a water bottle.

Spiders can jump and glide on their webbing. It's called ballooning.

[ did Nyara want a biology lesson on arachnids today? she is getting them! Granted, his gliders were tech-based rather than webs, but the concept still applied. ]

"Your face looks weird," Sam replies distractedly, checking Dean over as he tries to find that injury. "And my hair grew. Kinda like the rest of me."

He gets down to Dean's ankles, finally noticing the blood. Which has him pulling up the leg and hissing at the sight of the wound. Looking around, he shucks off his flannel and takes out a knife, cutting strips off the bottom to start making a bandage. "Looks like people are gathering over there. Let me get this covered and we'll head over there, yeah?"

I understand. You are much bigger than a spider, though.

[Spiders have faintly positive associations for Nyara, but that's mainly because she'd most often see them in seldom-used parts of her father's fortress. There's far less sustenance on them than on mice and rats but they also can't fight back like those can, and any morsel of food is something.

Probably she shouldn't share that with Miguel.]

I would have thought you were an eagle, or - a gryphon. [Thinking of gryphons makes her perk up slightly and she hastens to assure him that this is a compliment.] They are so very quick and magnificent in the air, and they are powerful and frightening, but they are good.

That dude who looked like he stepped out of a Rankin and Bass stop motion special whistled for something before all that went down. I think this was it. Maybe it's our ride.

[Kon gently lowers Tim to the ground, kneeling beside him, and holding him propped up so he can get a good look at his neck. Bad. This is bad. With this stuff integrated in and swimming through his blood it's not like he can get at it with his teke the way he could at some kind of externally clamped piece of tech.]

When you mean Borged you mean like actually Borged, don't you. That was all movie villains. What'd they go with? First Contact or something?

[Being programmed by nerds is handy sometimes. Trek is actually not one of the ones he's into that much on his own, like some of the others he's quietly consumed and pretended they were only programmed in.]

Civil wars are... [he lets out a little whoosh of air.] That's how it all started for us. A lot of countries had civil wars over time, but in the country where things escalated first, there'd been one a few hundred years before, then a second one.

And then just...a cascade of other wars and conflicts, including a full worldwide nuclear exchange. Beginning of the almost-end.

[He looks around.]

But these guys seem like they've avoided it. So far. [He raises his eyebrows and nods his head appraisingly.] Good for them.

[ Almost. Not really. But he thinks he's very funny for saying that. ]

The growing-hair thing seems... wrong. His hair wasn't anything close to that long a few months when Dean was spying checking up on him, but he doesn't have the focus to follow up. Propping himself up gets too hard, so he lets himself lay down. This mattress sucks, it feels like concrete.

Sam starts working by his leg, which is weirdly hot, now that Dean notices it. Then the hot-ness turns back into burning and then there's the smell of smoke in the air and the crackling of flame in his ears and his heart starts to pound--

"Sammy. Sammy, you gotta get outta the house."

"I will hope it does not come to that, then." He's aware, though he doesn't want to say it. The Imperium of his time wasn't as inclined to destroy entire worlds, though... there have been words of civilizations being so thoroughly tainted by xenos as to have been destroyed. Even Dorn has done such a thing when the situation required it.

"Have you seen anyone else from our previous sojourns?"

[Mariner had been keeping an ear out in case Boimler called. She'd hated to leave him, but he'd managed to convince her that it would be better for everyone if she put her energy to helping people who could still be helped, unlike him.

Yeah? [She comes trotting over. It had sounded like an excited 'hey' and not a 'help me' kind of 'hey', so, that's good at least? Maybe Nog had managed to whip up something.] What's happening?

[ He doesn't know if it's polite to say his original reality doesn't have a real Amaterasu. It probably isn't. He just won't say it, she's a goddess, best to have some respect. ]

He takes off his shirt. It's made difficult to see because he is fairly hairy, but there's a few nicks and one bigger gash at his ribcage, ending just where it would have cut into the unprotected stomach cavity.

[The look is definitely familiar. But hey, Eddie has already seen so much weird shit that a guy dressed up as a superhero doesn't get more than a brief double take. Was he on his way to a convention before he got swept up in here? Is he a legitimate superhero? Not Eddie's business, actually.

Eddie squints at his wound though, doubtful that this guy doesn't need help.]

Right, yeah, I just- there should still be some kind of logic to it, right? Like, I don't know, rules. ...Are you sure you're good?

"Quality dude, whoever that was." There's a slow blink as Kenzie catches up with what Stacia is saying and she shake sher head in something like disbelief.

"Honestly, if there's cocoa I don't care where we go. Also now I owe Bunny an apology for thinking his story about working with Santa Claus was bullshit."

"Yeah, yeah. Gimme a second, fuck..." Kenzie says as she hauls herself up from where she's sprawled out in the seat of the sleigh, nursing her own minor cuts and bruises. Thankfully nothing serious, but then she's also not the type to be concerned if it was serious. She grabs the kit and proffers it towards Rowan.

"You good? Doesn't look too bad."

"You know, normally I get a name before someone starts stripping," Elle says playfully, but not quite in the tone of a flirtation.

She grabs two water bottles and sits back down.

Ugh, that doesn't look good either. Tweezers, scissors, hand sanitizer, and a suture kit get pulled out too. She hands him one of the bottles.

"Drink some water. How do you feel about needles?"

First things first, she cracks one of the instant cold packs for the bruising on his face and sets it by his knee. Then she starts disinfecting her hands.

"I'm usually scuffed after a fight like this, but I'm in better shape than most people," Stacia says. "I'm keeping an eye on the little guy in the smoothie cup; he ran interference for me and got tagged by a venomous snake. He's about as stable as he's going to be until we can get to the Pole, according to Jack."

She gives Dan a once-over, paying more attention to his apparent lack of injury. "Looks like you managed to avoid running into anything either, huh?"

"Sam." In his experience, other Fera neither want to know about nor appreciate a full Garou introduction.

So his first name it is.

And he's going to take that ice pack gratefully. Not having his proper healing... he's had it for too long now to easily get used to not having it.

"Needles are fine. Unless you wants to use them. Last time I tried to see a button on I sewed the front to the back of the item and both to my trousers." His dexterity is fine. His ability to judge fabric correctly, not so much.

"It's been a while since I worked on a live subject, but I've got a pretty steady hand," Elle says, just to be fully transparent. It isn't going to turn out pretty, but she doubts that's a requirement anyway.

Gloves on, scissors out. She takes a moment to cut some of the body hair around the wound. She doesn't want it to get caught.

"Sorry to ruin your manscaping."

Then out comes the needle, suture thread, and needle holder. Elle gets to work.

"You want to tell me about yourself, or should I ramble?" There is no option for silence.

[ Tim, nerd that he is, has a particular fondness for The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus, which was never very popular but has a high fantasy element to it due to the pagan council. ]

The actual Borg. Beats Wendy the Werewolf Stalker any day. They got a tube in my neck, but she pulled it out before they could do much else.

[ No ID on who she is. Tim covers his neck with his hand - it hurts, and he doesn't want to be prodded when there's nothing more that can be done without equipment and clean tools. ]

Must've been First Contact. TOS didn't have the Borg, the other TNG movies had different villains, and I didn't see the reboots. But it's fine. I'm not chalk white, and they didn't do any implants. Just... liquid.

[ Has Kon seen First Contact? Tim's not sure, but he thinks the nanoprobes growing the implants was new to the film. He doesn't want to be a distraction. ]
