SLEIGH BELLS RING

Those that escape from the theater all seem to come out through the same doors. When they get there, they can see that the theater isn't actually a building. There's only a free-standing set of theater doors on the playground. At the rear side of them is a brick wall.

Those that exit will find they can't re-enter.

None of the humans have seemed to notice the door or them, even those driving by.

Not everyone escapes at the same time. It comes in fits and starts, them filtering of the theater. Some can walk out mostly unharmed, some limp out, some come out supporting each other.

What they find outside is... uncanny. There in the playground is a massive sleigh, but one that looks not-exactly-traditional, with equipment and boosters that look almost like a mix of technology and something magical.

It's been expanded into many carriages, almost like a roller coaster. Harnessed to it are eight massive reindeer, champing slightly at their bits. It appears the people that attacked and created the theater are at least long gone. That means that as people slowly filter out they can check up on each other, provide first aid, and reassure each other.

❅ Status effects: Any injuries or damage that happens to a character will stick when they leave the Multiplex. That means that someone that gets facehugged by a facehugger will have an alien larva problem that may be causing some serious indigestion soon. Anyone that gets Borg-nanited through the neck will start having the nanites take over them. However the myth healing will slow these processes down until they can get to the Pole, and there are magical means at the Pole to help the characters survive this.

❅ First Aid/Other Supplies: The sleigh will have magically anticipated their needs. While it won't have the antivenom for Kaa because only a magical plant that grows at the Pole can cure the bites, it will have plenty of well-stocked general first aid kits. Applying first aid can help the myth healing heal someone more quickly and is important for injured characters that opted out of the myth healing.

❅ Timing: People can bendytime the timing of when their characters have escaped to play in this and "Let's All Go To The Movies" at the same time. People can also intro here late if they need to wrap some things up in the other post first.

❅ Intro: Players can use this post to intro instead if that's their preference. You can just assume your characters had to run from scary things in the theater and either handwave their circumstances, or assume your character found a way out more quickly than others.

[ Asking permission is appreciated, and Tim will eye the tricorder, raising an eyebrow at the additional parts. Which isn't quite visible, but anyone used to reading human expressions would be able to guess why his mask cocks upwards like that. ]

That doesn't look standard issue.

When cutting away the chest hair, she'll find an old fairly substantial horizontal scar at about the third to fourth ribs height. There's also some minor scars scattered around his body.

And to her question, he very quickly responds: "You chatter." He wouldnt even know what to say and maybe hell learn something in her rambling.

"You already said my face looks weird, so that means you lose."

He's trying not to get too panicked, but that wound doesn't look great. Especially not with the way Dean is reacting.

Sam doesn't know what Dean's seeing, but he shifts to get Dean up. "Yeah, no. I'm not going anywhere without you. You should know that by now."

I had to jury-rig a t-cell stimulator out of a phaser and tricorder. It's not pretty, but it works.

[Nog scans Tim, and finds a pretty similar results to the one he found with Boimler. Better even.]

The good news is your immune system is fighting off the nanoprobes better than it has any right to. No implants have formed either.

The bad news is it could still go either way at this point.

[ He laughs without any real mirth and leans back against the side of the sleigh at this news. ]

My immune system fighting off anything without outside help is already better than it has any right to.

Dean's looking up again. Dean's looking up and there's Mom. Mom's always there when he looks up. He's gotta-- Sammy's gotta get out. Dad's orders.

Watch out for Sammy, boy.

The smoke stings his eyes. The fire's still burning him. His eyes begin to water. He tries to hold it in.

You gotta toughen up. Gotta be the big man when I'm not here and take care of Sammy.

He tries to shoo his brother away but it's difficult when his muscles don't work the way they should. Why is this the one time Sam decides he wants to stay with Dean?

"Outside... 's fast 's you can. Don't look back."

Those are the words that keep Sammy safe. Dean picked up his brother that night twenty-five years ago and never put him down since. But Sam left and took a part of Dean with him. Dad left and took a part of Dean with him. Mom left. Bobby, Lee, Cassie... everyone's gone. And they all took Dean with them.

He ain't got much left.

"Little guy in a smoothie cup? Let me know if there's any way I can help him out." Dan raises his eyebrow but doesn't encroach. If this small person is injured and hiding, then Dan doesn't want to crowd him and agitate him further.

"A gentleman never tells, Stacia." And that's all Dan's going to say about that, because Stacia doesn't need to know what Dan pulled from his bag of tricks to keep the Babadook distracted.

[ He replies easily. Humans have so many names, it feels like. ]

Well, we just spent four million years slagging each other and in the end all it did was leave a lot of dead people behind us. Things are better now, but... they shouldn't have had to get that bad, you know? We made our homeworld practically uninhabitable, destroyed who knows how many other planets in the mean time... It was a mess.

[ Drift glances at the surrounding area as Boimler mentions they've avoided it so far. ]

We'll see. Humans and Cybertronians are distressingly alike at times, I've found.

Boimler might not turn into a drone.

[And might not turn into a drone is better news that anyone's ever gotten in this situation.]

His immune system was fighting it already, but I managed to rig up a way to boost it.

"Right now he's unconscious, so I'm just keeping an eye on the progress of the venom and making sure that no one, like...sits on him, or tosses him in a nearby trashcan by accident."

Stacia's willing to bet that most people here wouldn't do him harm on purpose, but better to keep an eye on him now than regret it later.

It takes her a moment to work through the statement, but then she makes a face and covers a laugh with both hands.

"Oh no. Nope. Evidentially it was a decent way to get out of the theater uninjured, but do not tell me, I do not want to know. La la la la la, I can't hear you!"

She plays up covering her ears with her hands to emphasize exactly how much she does not want details. Dan is basically family, he even admitted it himself, and that means she wants no details on his sex life.

Elle notes the scar, has an idea of what it means, but doesn't look to see if there's a matching one on his other side. It's none of her business.

"Lucky for you, I'm good at that. This is the second alternate world I've ended up in. There are people here who've been to even more-- I can't begin to imagine what that's like. At first I thought I had stumbled into some strange Umbral Realm, but that got disproven real quick.

"There's at least two other Garou here, possibly more? Here's to hoping you know how to play nice with others," she can't resist the small dig to Garou's general attitude about cooperation, especially with non-Garou. Based on their interaction so far she doubts it'll be a problem, but that doesn't stop her from poking a little.

"Oh, and be careful with your Gifts. The place we were before, most of them didn't work. I'd test yours out before depending on them in an emergency."

And if learned gifts are unreliable, Jamak gifts are probably useless. What she wouldn't give to get Reality's Path back.

The whole time she's been stitching him up with a steady hand. The first few lines are a little crooked, she's not used to working with a curved needle, but they get more uniform as she goes on. She's about a third of the way through at this point.

"Dr. Stacia says that you probably shouldn't get into any more monster fights for at least twenty-four hours, or however long this takes to heal," Stacia says dryly. "You know, like that's a choice we can make for ourselves rather than something forced upon us by circumstance."

She gently pats the last bandage into place. "I'd be concerned if you were a normal human, but I think you're probably fine. Get yourself some protein and a nap when we get to safety, and let someone know if you start having chills or something starts smelling gross."

And isn't it wild that "blood" doesn't count as "gross" anymore? The things being one of Gaia's shifting children does to a person.

"Alright. If he needs another babysitter, let me know." Dan winces. "I didn't mean babysitter. That sounds condescending."

Just because the little guy's small doesn't mean he's a child.

"Get your mind out of the gutter." Dan grins and winks. There's no way he'd ever discuss anything explicit with Stacia. An oblique reference already skirts the line of what he's comfortable with, and now he retreats into plausible deniability. "I just didn't get into a fight, is all. Talked my way down."

The last place I stayed it had members of all the mother's tribes and some of Coyotes', too. I one before had a fair amount of winged friends dropping in.

[Point being, he knows how to play nice and wouldn't know why he wouldn't.

And yes, sure enough, at least some Gifts don't work her. As evidenced by him being unable to turn off the pain from her sewing right now. He'll just. Return to silence for the moment.]

[Elle raises her eyebrows in slight surprise. Is he talking about Nuwisha? They're pretty rare, and don't tend to stay in groups. Or with Garou. She's very interested in hearing the circumstances that led to that situation.]

All of mom's kids and some of Coyote's? Color me impressed. And here I thought my hometown was diverse.

[It was, but they sure didn't have any Coyotes. She's only met a couple, and those were extreme circumstances.]

Well that's a point in everyone's favor, at least. Was your plan really to sit under here and just... hope your body fixes itself? Because I gotta say, that's taking your kind's penchant for stubbornness to a whole new level.

So the shrinky-dink thing is new, you said? That's a shame. I've seen people who can do that, though most of them were rat-faced or creepy-crawly, but I'm pretty sure I've heard rumors about wolves of unusual sizes.

[Too small, too big... Elle would love to get her hands on a Gift like that.

She's over halfway through the wound now.]

[Man, you will never hear Eddie saying that Steve hasn't metamorphosed into an incredibly generous person. No comment on the destruction, and Eddie gets some bonus encouraging shoulder pats? Unfathomable.

He looks up to see Steve pacing back and forth, and it weirdly settles Eddie a little, because it's obvious he's not freaking out alone. He takes a few deep breaths, and presses a hand up against his racing heart.]

Not gonna be sick. Eighty percent sure, anyway. You good? Didn't get chewed on by anything in there?

[Oh, wow. That's a lot of mud. Eddie stares at it all, possibly coming off as rude, although it's certainly not his intention. He winces at the mention of water and clean clothes.]

Ah, geez... I hate to say it, but I've got no idea. Couldn't even tell you where we are. Wait, here-

[He tugs a handkerchief out of his back pocket and offers it to Jennifer, waving a little gesture at her face.]

At least you could- you know. Better than nothing.

Sam looks up and notices that look on his brother's face. This might be a much younger version of his brother, but he knows that look. Has dealt with it FAR too many times in their lives.

Which is why, once he has the wound dealt with as best he can, he moves to grab Dean by the shoulders. One arm goes around his own shoulders while his arm goes around Dean's waist. "By this point, you'd think you'd be versed enough in how this family works to know I'm more stubborn than you are." It was one of the things Dean had to work with. Both Sam and John were incredibly stubborn, after all.

He shifts his own footing and then lifts Dean to his feet. "Come on. We're getting out of here together. You can walk or I can carry you."

He'd probably be doing most of the carrying, anyway, but giving Dean a choice made it sound better, at least.

"I'm beginning to suspect Dr. Stacia isn't a real Doctor. What're your credentials, again?" she jokes.

Once Stacia's done Elle stretches, then immediately winces as she realizes her mistake.

"We're in Jersey. Everything smells gross."

Apparently, whatever changed us, it boosted the immune response so much it's fighting the nanoprobes before they can rewrite my DNA to accept them.

And the lieutenant was able to improvise a T-cell stimulator to push it even farther.

[A hapless shrug.]

I've at least got a chance.

"Oh, if you want the Dr. Novik with credentials, then you want my sister," Stacia volleys back -- accidentally inducing a furious tsunami of homesickness. She and Mila hadn't been close most of Stacia's life, what with Mila having been ten years older than her and either aspiring to or actively studying medicine. But they'd bonded after Stacia's First Change and the discovery that Mila was Kinfolk.

Stacia shakes the worst of it off her shoulders, cramming it into a mental box for later.

"Yeah, well, we're going to the North Pole, which probably smells like candy canes and glitter; you'll definitely notice it then," she says.

Elle notes the shudder, logs it, and ignores it. Stacia doesn't need to be poked at right now, especially since they're not in a secure location. Emotional processing can be put off until later.

"If I don't have hot cocoa within the first ten minutes of arriving, I'm leaving a bad Yelp! review."

She tries not to imagine the luxuries a place as magical as The North Pole could provide. No point in getting ahead of herself.

Elle stands up. "Anything other information you think we need to cover? I don't think I have anything else, and I wanna snag a seat at the back of the line before someone else does."

She normally wouldn't be this trusting of a rescue like this, but if Bunny's vouching for it she can try to dial back her instinctive paranoia.

A bit.

She is absolutely going to snoop around for tricks or traps, but that's just good sense.

It won't make him any less mad but at least he won't just be focused on you.

Yeah. That's true. [ she sighs, setting the kit down beside her and switching which hand is holding the pack ] Thanks. I just— I didn't want to assume.

[ That she could implicate him as being as guilty in what Miguel will definitely see as a multiverse-threatening mission, too, she means. ]

I think we should leave some of the others out of it, as much as possible. Pavitr, Peni, Margo—he doesn't need to know they're involved.

[ She only doesn't single out Porker and other Peter because she figures they're closer to Peter and Hobie's levels of equipped for the repercussions of Miguel knowing. ]

"Quality dude for sure," Stacia agrees, adding a cheeky: "When the feminist revolution comes, he will be given a stick to smack sense into other men with."

She snickers. "What, you thought the Easter Bunny was real but Santa wasn't? Granted, I'd have assumed he was one of the fae or something, but..." She gestures and the sleigh and the reindeer. "What do you think, should we try to get seats toward the back so we don't scare the bells off 'em?"
