Something in Skye clicks into place, even as she steps back and swallows a scream, hand pressed over her mouth to keep the sound from escaping. For a split second the stone floor looked like ice and her only thought is learn from this.
Carefully, she moves back to take another look, committing the sight to memory, every cable, every light, every piece of gore. She's going to remember this, and she's going to do something about it.
Not yet, though, since there's little she can do down here, and it leaves her with a difficult decision to make; does she head back now to protect this knowledge, or venture further in to uncover more secrets?
After a moment of deliberation she decides on the latter. Steeling herself with a shaky breath, Skye starts back down the tunnel, planning to head deeper into the mine once she's back on the other sides of the boards.
