"What can I say? Selling any important ecological land to businesses makes me want to throw up." He chuckles at Dan's assessment. "I could have told you these two were stupid," he says, squeezing his hand through Dan's hair. "We didn't even have our identities and we were onto them. It wasn't just us, either."
For a moment he lies and cuddles Dan, and looks at the task ahead of him.
"I've got to go as soon as we've turned over all the stones we can," he says. "I'll need enough water to run however long a human body can run. I reckon I've heard of mortal runners lasting a few days."
It's going to be unpleasant, but it's going to be done.
"I can't think right now of a better way to try and break the curse. If you've got any other ideas, we need to figure them out now, and then I've got to get going."
