Nerds! In their natural habitat.

Who: Brigid and Sam
What: Being nerdy about mythology
Where: the Library
When: Following shitty little town
Warnings/Notes: Probably not

Brigid thumps her Chronicle onto the table, and winces as the sound echoes. She has so much to do, and no doubt back home Rune is waiting for more translations to come his way - if that's even possible? She doesn't know.

Sighing, she goes looking for the Ogham dictionary she's been using while here. Unable to find it, she frowns. "Now where did that thing go?" She mutters to herself, wandering through the stacks, looking for it. Finding it in the hands of a man, she cocks her head to the side, walking up behind him.

"Your translation is wrong." She says, looking at the page. She smiles. "Sorry, I didn't mean to intrude. I'm Brigid Finn." She says, offering her hand.

Things in the library tended to move around. Part of that might just be the magic of the place. Part of it was that there were several nerds who tended to pile things when they were working.

There was an unspoken rule to return things you borrowed once you were done with them. The problem was that Sam had been working on the translation for several days now. That he should probably get somebody to help with it had crossed his mind, but he kept thinking just another go...

The notebook he's writing in has several started translations, with parts crossed out, some repeated. The voice at his shoulder makes him jump, turning around to find one of the other new Guardians there. He looks at her, then at the page and huffs a laugh. "Yeah, no, that doesn't surprise me in the least. Latin? I can do that in my sleep. Runes? No problem. This, though, is entirely brand new to me."

Which means he's trying to figure it out as he goes along. "I'm guessing this one is your forte, though?"

"I'm assuming Irish Gaelic?" He knows enough to know that there's two languages in that branch of Celtic languages that are called Gaelic, but not much beyond that. "Most of what I've learned has to do with dealing with supernatural creatures back home. Ogham hasn't come up, yet, but now I'm just trying to get more information for here. So I'd love any help you could give."
