SANTA'S WORKSHOP ❄ FREE-FOR-ALL DISCUSSION

SANTA'S WORKSHOP

[Seen only in brief spurts inside - often killing Kaa's or pointing people to the nearest actually-working exist, Jack Frost and Bunnymund are ultimately the last two out of the Multi-plex, refusing to leave until they've searched enough to be sure they aren't leaving someone behind, knowing the second they leave, they won't be able to go back. But Bunny's nose knows, telling him that everyone's scents are fading, and as soon as they are sure, they're out.]
[They know there isn't much time for those who are poisoned. The second they're out, Jack looks anxiously at the doors, and when they disappear, he breathes out a visible sigh of relief. Left in their place is the golden ticket, stuck in the earth. It burns up into glittering ash that disappears in the breeze.]
Okay, that wouldn't have disappeared unless everyone was out. Everyone in the sleigh! In case Benny and the others decide to come back and pick off any survivors.
Or try extra hard to kill me since I've got the only keys to the North Pole's new magical security system. We can't risk not getting you guys in.
[Alongside anyone else that offers help to those around them, Jack also helps anyone into that sleigh that seems to be injured enough for it to be a struggle. When everyone's inside, Jack slaps the side of the sleigh.]
Alright, we'll need some seatbelts for once.
[Seatbelts appear for all the seats, some of which adjust to the sizes and forms of some of the people who have climbed into the roller coaster-like cars. Even Stacia will find a tiny little cot will form out of the seat back in front of her with tiny straps to strap Branch into, looking an awful lot like what you'd find in an air ambulance.]
[A seatbelt appears in the driver's seat. Jack scoffs.]
Not for me.
[He finds that it's easier to successfully wrangle the deer when its a more visceral kind of experience. (Also he's got to take his fun where he can find it). The seatbelt disappears and Jack jumps in, standing instead, propping his staff in between some bars that seem meant for holding it but also keeping it within quick reach, and putting one foot on what equates as the dash, hooking a foot against a little bar that's probably not meant for it to brace himself.]
[It is right then that figures can be seen in the near distance, rising on a cloud of fearlings over the trees.]
Nope. [Jack cracks the reins.] Поехали!
[The deer take off like a shot. Once they're actually in the air, Jack holds the reins with one hand, reaching for his staff with the other, and then all of a sudden, in the space of a breath, they're in middle of a blizzard, obscured by the snow, guarded by the sleeting ice and ripping winds.]
[He calls back comfortingly.] Don't worry, this thing can get through no-fly zones!
[He reaches into the dash and grabs...a snowglobe? Then holds it to his lips, a whisper of a location lost on the wind. He hurls it ahead of the sleigh, a portal opens up, and then...then they're suddenly somewhere else with cold winds, only there is no blizzard happening here. The sun is bright in the summer sky, and the aurora ripples even though it's daytime. The portal closes behind them - just in time.]
[As the sleigh gets closer, magical symbols suddenly appear, rotating around Jack and they shift something in the air. Then its like a massive snowglobe, the glass transparent but glowing gold, opens up revealing something inside - a massive building set into a mountain.]
I know you guys want answers but we need to make sure nobody dies first.

The rest is all a blur, as Jack brings them in through some tunnels under the workshop and stops the sleigh, as he calls out to the yetis to prepare many beds in the infirmary and get some of the cranes ready. The cranes lift pallets with railings to carry the injured up to the infirmary level, where Yetis help carry or support people inside to beds that adjust in size to fit their occupants. Jack calls out directions to one of them.]
Phil, there's no way we can handle this many injured alone, put out a call to the Nysiads, a few of them have audited whole medical degrees out of boredom. And ask them if they can call in a favor to Epione and her daughters, I know they're friends. ["ARGLE BLARGLE BLARG BLARG?"] I mean if he wants to come help sure, but Asclepius is pretty full of himself. That's what happens when you go from "god of medicine" to focusing so hard on the doctors.
[He turns to another Yeti.] Marv, we need a whole tub of crushed aglaophotis, we've got multiple Kaa bites. ["ROGHA WOOGA WOOGA?"] Don't worry about it, Bunny can grow more - and no it's not our Bunny, it's a Bunny. Other dimensions thing.
[That is ultimately how the group winds up attended to by multiple women wearing chitons and peploi. A few are goddesses, their beauty otherworldly. Others are nymphs, their bodies dotted with small glowing stars that make them look like walking constellations, their form covered in liquid lines of colors found only in bodies of water. Practical first aid is given but so is magical - hands placed on people can steal away pain and help wounds close faster. Quickly mixed tinctures and balms and ointments soothe burns and make injured joints shift back into place. Those with Kaa's bites have balms made of crushed agloaphotis bandaged around their wounds and are given juice from it to drink. All of them will find their minds clearing almost instantly upon drinking. The bound wounds will take longer to heal, but at least are started on their way.]
[The lone holdout is the tiny troll Jack gave the antidote to first in a little thimble. Even if his breathing is coming easier, he will not wake for quite some time. So a little doll bed is brought in and placed on a table, with a little doll bed inside. (So when he wakes up, he doesn't just roll out and fall.) Jack places the tiny little guy inside - not knowing one of the elves is looking on from curiosity in the doorway.]
[No one will be healed instantly by everything but the various ladies help the process along, making up for the fact that some of them may have overtaxed their myth healing - if they even have it. Even those who have a longer fight ahead of time, with bites that need healing or nanoprobe infections that must be fought off, are in much better shape than they were. Fevers may flare worse later, wounds may throb more before they get better, but for now, everyone is in slightly better shape.]
[When they're finally all stabilized, Jack goes out to the area in front of the massive globe of glowing lights to talk to the yetis some more, not even stopping to tend to his own injuries - one of the Nysiads has to chase after him to get him to sit still long enough for her to do it.]
[No, he's far too concerned with two other people that have arrived - quietly called for at Jack's request during the proceedings. A woman that flies in on a massive goose, that then shrinks and curls up in her arms - and a teenage boy, only about thirteen or fourteen. The boy briefly comes over to the door of the infirmary, eyes wide as he looks inside.]
["Whoa-ho-ooooa!" He dances away excitedly, grinning, waving his arms wildly in the direction of the infirmary, and chattering away at Jack, too far away to be heard. Through the open doors of the infirmary, Jack can be seen conferring with them both. The only words that filter through, even for those with enhanced hearing, are Jack's, directed at the goose lady.]
Are you sure?
[She nods. When Jack finally rejoins them, he's got quite the news to drop.]
❅ Free-for-all: This is one of the game's "free-for-all" posts, which follows network format like everyone is threadhopping on the network, but is taking place in a real-life meeting space. Please stick to that format. It is fine to also just do dialogue like it's the network.
❅ Injuries: Everyone who got hurt will currently be awake and coherent when Jack comes in to talk.
❅ Intro: Players can use this post to intro instead if that's their preference. You can just handwave your character was involved in the events leading up to this or that they show up at the Pole right as everyone is getting triaged and is here just in time for the explanation.
